Utterly Horses Hullabaloo Report - Sunday

Sunday was the last day of the UHH, we had booked our National Stud tour for 11.15 am that morning. It was a great tour, I learned a lot and saw some beautiful thoroughbreds. We were there in the most quiet time of the year, so there weren't a lot of horses. Afterwards we went to the medallion worshop by Kelly Savage, I really liked working on a medallion and I want to finish mine when I get back from Belgium (I will return to the Netherlands with Nikita on the 15th of September). Then after a roast dinner we headed back to our B&B for our last night, and took an early ferry back to Holland. If it al works out, I'd love to go back next year!

Utterly Horses Hullabaloo Report - Saturday

Saturday was the Open Liveshow day, I brought some horses and some performance setups. Showing in the UK is different from showing in the Netherlands, halter is more or less the same but the performance classes are different and judged in an other way. It was fun to show in a different country, I learned a lot!
Unfortunately, it started to rain in the afternoon, we were in a tent but the rain starten seeping in from the ground. Never had that happen before at a liveshow! After shifting some tables we continued.

Utterly Horses Hullabaloo Report - Friday

So, the UHH started on friday. We went to see the store and did some stablemate painting and also booked a National Stud tour for the Sunday. Then at 1 pm we went to the July course, which was next door, for a race meeting. I've always wanted to go to the horse races and finally I was able to. We wanted to get tickets for the Grandstand/Paddock Enclosure when someone gave us free tickets to the Premier Enclosure, that was so nice! Unfortunalty we were wearing jeans so we were not allowed in the Premier Enclosure but we still had a great time. I did some betting ofcourse, but was very unsuccesful.

Utterly Horses Hullabaloo Report - Thursday

Since I've been back for a few days it is now time for a report!

We arrived wednesday night and we were staying in a lovely inn in Glemsford, which is about a 45 minutes drive away from Newmarket. It was my very first time driving on the left, and I'd like to say I did pretty good and it was a lot of fun too! The event would start on Friday, so this was our 'day off'. We went to Newmarket and looked around and then decided to go to Cambridge as it was much closer then we thought it would be.

Hyperion, famous race horse infront of the Jockey Club and next to the National Horseracing Museum.

The National Horseracing Museum, we did not visit it so ! a good reason to come back.
Newmarket Highstreet, it was great driving around Newmarket, everything is horse! And you drive by all the stables, studs and gallops ect.

One of the colleges in Cambridge, they were amazing.
